The admission process at CIS Qatar is open to all children, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or religion, emphasising the school’s commitment to being truly international. However, admission is subject to seat availability in the appropriate age group and the school’s ability to meet the needs of the child. Meeting these criteria does not guarantee a seat, as additional factors such as a child’s school report or an interview with a member of the senior leadership team may be required.
Priority is given to students who have siblings studying in the school, and children of staff members may also receive priority, although it is not guaranteed. Generally, students will not be admitted to a year group outside of their age group, except in exceptional circumstances. The minimum age for admission to Kindergarten is three years.
To secure a seat for your child in the school, you need to follow the registration/re-registration process outlined by CIS Qatar. The steps involved are as follows:
In the school leaving process, if a child is withdrawn from school, the term’s fees will be forfeited regardless of the number of days attended during the term. Additionally, it’s important to note that starting from Year 8, there is no automatic promotion of students from one grade to the next; promotion is based on meeting specific criteria and requirements.
